Access conditions
First & before of all: to be a professional in the animation industry, registered in CVyou.net with a CV up to date.
Updates
You can reach via the menu of your account a page-form which allows you to upload your pictures to the server, and which also enables you to associate with each one of these pictures a comment, the year, the project concerned, and other infos... The copyright mention is automaticaly associated to your name and the year assigned to the file. So be carefull not to display a picture belonging to someone else, if you wish not to find yourself some day in the nice company of some lawyers...
Limitations
Dimensions for each image must not exceed 600 X 600 pixels and 200 KB (204,800 bytes) in weight. NOTE: the more you'll post pictures and the larger and heavy they will be, the more slowly your page will display on one's browser. I did not set a limit yet to the number of files (JPG or GIF) you could upload.
For animations, go ahead with animated GIFs, but beware as well of the weight which cannot exceed 200 KB.
Also it is necessary to exploit dimensions or the length. Some softwares can optimize animated GIFs.
Videos
Of course I plan to allow posting of videos, but then it will be necessary to talk about money, because I am actually paying to have my space on OVH.com server.
A video file can very quickly reach 10, 20 even up to 60 Mo or more in weight. So I obviously cannot allow myself to offer that to the whole community of members, since I'm neither in a multinational company nor a Nasdaq start-up's camp.
In other words, and if you really make a point of having a video posted, you will have to contribute a share of 1€/5Mo/year. Non-billable, non-deductible, etc... (let's not bother for peanuts!).
Censorship
Avoid of course plosting pictures that could shock the visitors as they can also be under 18 (violence, sex... and all these depravities of our from our beautiful world). Do not forget that this Book is attached to your CV! It is not to consider exactly such as a personal Home page which would involve only yourself.
If your Portfolio could affect your image, it will also affect the image of the whole of the site and all its members. In short, be nice: *self-discipline*.
Nomenclature
Please follow the given instructions as for the structure of the file names. Each member has a unique code to place in prefix of the file name, composed of the 2 initials of his name and a number.
This code is meant to avoid the overwriting of someone else's files, as well as to help recover a backup of all the files from a specific member where necessary.
